Your tracking data should stay under your control.
This Privacy Policy explains how Vial AI collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, mobile app, AI-assisted tracking tools, cloud backup, and related services.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
Account and contact information
We may collect your name, email address, login details, subscription status, support messages, and account settings.
Protocol and tracking data
Depending on the features you use, we may collect peptide or GLP-1 names, protocol schedules, dose logs, vial details, reconstitution inputs, injection site history, reminders, inventory records, notes, exports, daily check-ins, weight entries, fitness or recovery metrics, and biomarker entries.
Photos, scans, and AI inputs
If you use scan-to-log, body scan, progress photo, vial image, document scan, or AI insight features, we may process images, text, metadata, extracted label details, and AI prompts or outputs needed to provide those features.
Apple Health and wearable data
If you choose to connect Apple Health or wearable integrations, we only request the categories needed for the feature you enable, such as weight, activity, sleep, steps, heart rate, or recovery-related metrics. You can manage access in Apple Health or device settings.
Usage, device, and website data
We may collect app version, device type, operating system, approximate region, feature usage, crash logs, diagnostics, security logs, website analytics, cookies, and similar technical information.
3. Health data and special category data
Some information you enter into Vial AI may reveal information about your physical or mental health, treatment routines, body metrics, fitness, medication or compound use, biomarker values, or other sensitive matters. Under UK data protection law, data concerning health can be special category personal data and receives extra protection.
Where we process health-related special category data, we do so only where we have a lawful basis and a special category condition, such as your explicit consent where required, providing the service you requested, complying with legal obligations, or protecting vital interests in limited circumstances. You can withdraw optional consent-based features, but some tracking features may stop working if the data needed for them is removed.
4. How we use information
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide dose logging, scan-to-log, calculators, reminders, protocols, injection site rotation, weight tracking, biomarker tracking, body scan tracking, and exports.
- To generate AI-assisted summaries, insights, explanations, and research-style overviews when you choose to use those features.
- To sync, back up, restore, and secure your data if you use cloud features.
- To respond to support requests and service messages.
- To monitor security, prevent abuse, debug crashes, and improve performance.
- To improve product design using aggregated or de-identified analytics.
5. AI processing and model improvement
Vial AI may send prompts, scan text, images, dose-log context, or other inputs to AI providers where needed to provide AI features. AI outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate and should always be checked by you.
We do not intend to use identifiable health records, body photos, progress photos, or sensitive protocol data to train public AI models. If we ever offer optional model-improvement features using identifiable or sensitive content, we will make that clear and ask for consent where required.
6. How we share information
We may share information with service providers who help us operate Vial AI, such as cloud hosting, authentication, database, AI processing, analytics, crash reporting, payments, customer support, and email providers. They may only process information for our instructions and service purposes.
We may also share information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, with your consent, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. Legal bases for processing
For UK and EEA users, our legal bases may include contract performance, consent, explicit consent for certain health-related processing, legitimate interests such as security and service improvement, and legal obligations. Where legitimate interests are used, we balance those interests against your rights and expectations.
8. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside the UK or your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, international data transfer agreements, or equivalent protections.
9. Retention and deletion
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including account operation, backups, legal compliance, dispute handling, security, and audit logs. You may delete or export many records in the app, and you may contact us to request account deletion.
Some data may remain for limited periods in backups, security logs, transaction records, or where we have a legal reason to retain it.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. In the UK, you may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.
11. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encrypted transport, managed cloud infrastructure, and monitoring. No online service is perfectly secure, so you should use a strong password and keep your device secure.
12. Children
Vial AI is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 to use the app. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as Vial AI evolves. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, or email.
